Six-Years Ago (06-August-2010) — California

Gone to See America August 2010 Road Trip. Day 6: Eastern Sierra Photography Workshop with Michael Mariant. Bodie State Historic Park.

Images taken on my second visit to Bodie State Park. California maintains the park in a state of arrested decay. The park is a National Historic District, and is known as a wild-west gold mining ghost town. All of the images were converted to monochrome/sepia to fit with the historic nature of the ghost town. The Schoolmarm’s hat is a repeat of an image I  took during my first visit to Bodie.

Gone to See Europe 2014. Day 66: Semester at Sea, Summer 2014 Semester Voyage. Baltic Sea.

Summer Baltic Sea Rain Clouds at Dawn.  From the deck of the MV Explorer at 04:30. Composite of 13 images taken with a Fuji X-T1 camera and Zeiss 32 mm f/1.8 lens (ISO 1600, 32 mm, f/2.8, 1/30 sec). Raw images processed with Lightroom, Autopano Giga Pro, Capture One, Define, Perfect Resize, and Photoshop CC.

Three-Years Ago (30-July-2013) — Iceland

Gone to See Iceland 2013 Photography Safari with Mike Hagen. Day 1: Golden Circle.

Seljalandsfoss, a Waterfall in Southern Iceland. You can actually walk behind the waterfall. It is a challenge to get a wide enough view and encompass the full dynamic range of the scene. All the time being covered with a mist of water from the waterfall.
