Gone to See the World. Semester at Sea Spring 2016 Voyage on the MV World Odyssey. Day 5: Crossing the Pacific Ocean.
A Brown Booby was perched on one of the MV World Odyssey masts. This was the first bird I observed since we left Mexico, and the first time I had seen a Booby.
Gone to See the World. Semester at Sea Spring 2016 Voyage on the MV World Odyssey. Day 0: San Diego, California.
Morning walkabout near the cruise port area of San Diego. A Seagull (unidentified) posed in front of the MV World Odyssey. We would embark on the vessel the next day in Mexico for the Spring 2016 Semester at Sea voyage. I also saw a Brown Pelican and a different Seagull (unidentified) posing on the head of a statue.
Gone to See the World. Semester at Sea Spring 2016 Voyage on the MV World Odyssey. Day 24: At Sea Along the Southeast Coast of Japan on the way to China.
Rain and mist. The sun rose and set behind clouds. I spent the day indoors attending classes including a Life-Long Learner (LLL) seminar where I took candid portraits of the LLL’s with a Nikon 1 V3 camera and 70-300 mm VR lens.
Gone to See the World. Semester at Sea Spring 2016 Voyage on the MV World Odyssey. Day 22: Hiroshima.
I am not going to say much here. We visited the Hiroshima Peace Park and Museum. I just wish we could learn from the past and not be two minutes left on the Doomsday Clock. Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock.
