Backyard Summertime Nature in New Jersey.

Fawn with spots resting while munching grass. That year the grass was still green at this time of the summer. Image take with a Nikon D3x camera and 600 mm f/4 VR lens (ISO 160, 600 mm, f/4, 1/100 sec).

Six-Years Ago (11-September-2009) — Alaska

Gone to See North America Road Trip. Day 21: Alaska Railroad – Anchorage to Spencer Glacier. (Day 7: Nikonians ANPAT 9).

The  group took Alaska Railroad train for a day trip to the Spencer Glacier in the Chugach National Forest.  The glacier is only accessible as a “whistle stop” on the train line.  A (sort of) time-lapse video of  images from the day including Albert’s size 13 boot.  A bit confusing and jerky because I was using two different cameras and lenses.

Thursday (10-September-2015) — New Jersey

Indoor Summertime Nature in New Jersey.

We finally got rain, thunder and lighting starting at 03:00 this morning. Found my newest house pet when opening the garage for the contractor this morning. Most of my grass is dry, and really need the rain. Yesterday while driving back from a breakfast in Rahway I noticed most of the fields with corn or soybeans were all brown. I so much don’t miss doing the commute anymore. An hour and a half to drive 35 miles, even knowing the back roads. I guess schools have started and everyone is back from summer vacations.

Three-Years Ago (10-September-2012) — Belgium

Gone to see Europe. Semester at Sea. Fall 2012 Semester Voyage on the MV Explorer. Day 18: Brussels Field Trip.

After the MV Explorer docked in Antwerp, I joined the Field trip to Brussels which included a meeting with the European Union/European Commission on the Environment. During the day I took lots of pictures of Brussels, the Food, Brussel Sprouts, Statues, and Students on the Field Trip. If you get through some or all of these albums great. I am having a hard time picking which are the best images
