Gone to See North America Road Trip. Day 18: Denali National Park, Alaska. (Day 4: Nikonians ANPAT 9).
We separated into four groups, and our group of eight rode one of the Park Service buses on the only road into the National Park. We stopped at Stony Hill Scenic Overlook to view Denali with some amazing lenticular clouds. We saw lots of animals (Dall Sheep, Red Fox, Grizzly Bear, Coyote) either on or near the road. Some so close, I had trouble focusing.
Gone to see Europe. Semester at Sea. Fall 2012 Semester Voyage on the MV Explorer. Day 11: Field Trip to Howth and Departure from Dublin, Ireland.
We were only in Dublin for two days. The town was crowded with additional tourists and US Naval sailors because Navy was playing Notre Dame. I finally found a working cash machine, but it only had 50 euro bills which were hard to use for small purchases. In the morning I joined a Field Trip for a hike in Howth. Later in the afternoon, I took a series of images as the students and staff went through security before boarding the ship. Security was looking for alcohol and other contraband (including food).
Gone to See America 2006 Driving Tour. Day 9: Glacier National Park, Montana.
Glacier National Park. Somewhere I want to go back again before the glaciers are all gone. Lots of waterfalls along the road. I do remember traffic being bad. All images taken with a brand new (at the time) Nikon D200 DSLR camera.
