Gone to See Florida — 2019 Road Trip.

The sky lit up with colorful clouds just after sunset, so I ran outside with the first camera I found.

Daily Electric Energy Used (28.3 kWh) from Sense and Daily Solar Electric Energy Produced (7.8 kWh) from SolSystems and Locus Energy. The outdoor temperatures went down and the sun was hiding. A deficit of 20.5 kWh. Most of the hydroponic gardens were off or only on for fewer hours. Also, the thermostat for the Geothermal heater and hybrid heat pump hot water heater were set for vacation mode.

Gone to See Florida — 2019 Road Trip.

Boxer Day — Dawn and Sunrise at Fort De Soto Park. Every year while visiting Florida I like to go to Fort De Soto Park to view the Sunshine Skyway Bridge at dawn and sunrise. My brother and I got there early, just as the and sky and clouds were starting to show some colors. I set up two cameras on tripods, and one handheld. When we arrived the Skyway bridge piers were still lit up with red overnight lights for the holidays.

Saturday (26-October-2019) — New Jersey

Backyard Autumn Nature in New Jersey.

Heavy rain is predicted for tomorrow so I needed to put down some lime, rototill, and seed some of the wildflower sections with crimson clover as a winter cover crop. Some of the work was recorded as time-lapse video with a Garmin VIRB-360 camera. During the work I found another Praying Mantis ootheca or egg sack that I moved to a protected location.

Daily Electric Energy Used (62.8 kWh) from Sense and Daily Solar Electric Energy Produced (28.7 kWh) from SolSystems and Locus Energy. More clouds than yesterday. At this time of the year the sun is lower, and the Sycamore tree leaves shadow the solar panels part of the day. Overall a net deficit of 34.1 kWh. Use higher than yesterday because of laundry (4.2 kWh)

One-Year Ago (14-October-2018) — Portugal

Gone to See Portugal. Street Photography Workshop with Steve Simon. Day 0: Lisbon, Portugal.

I arrived in Lisbon a day before the workshop. I walked around most of the day. Lots of tourists in town to watch the running of the marathon. Later in the evening I had dinner with Steve Simon.

Individual Images from the slideshows can be viewed here.
