Gone to See Florida — 2019 Road Trip.

More composite images of the Granada Terrace park in St. Petersburg. In the last year the city has cleaned and repaired the structures. Apparently, the park has been used for weddings and other photo shoots. I’ve included composite 360 degree panorama, fisheye, little planet, tunnel view, and mirror ball views. The composite images were created using AutoPano Giga Pro software from a series of 39 images taken with a Fuji X-T3 camera and 16 mm f/2.8 lens (ISO 160, 16 mm, f/16, 1/60 sec).

Daily Electric Energy Used (36.4 kWh) from Sense and Daily Solar Electric Energy Produced (13.4 kWh) from SolSystems and Locus Energy. A deficit of 22.9 kWh. Most of the hydroponic gardens were off or only on for fewer hours. Also, the thermostat for the Geothermal heater and hybrid heat pump hot water heater were set for vacation mode.

Some 360 degree composite images of an urban garden and the Granada Terrace park in St. Petersburg. I’ve included composite 360 degree panorama, fisheye, little planet, tunnel view, and mirror ball views. The views were created using AutoPano Giga Pro software from a series of 21 images taken with a Fuji X-T3 camera and 8-15 mm fisheye lens (ISO 160, 8 mm, f/16, 1/30 sec).

Colorful Dawn Sky Over New Jersey.

At this time of the year, I often get to see colorful dawn clouds before the sun rises. The following are composites of 41 images showing a 360 degree view of my backyard at dawn transformed into a flat (2D) image. The images were taken with a Nikon D850 camera and 8-15 mm fisheye lens (ISO 100, 15 mm, f/5, 1/30 sec), then processed with Capture One Pro and AutoPano Giga Pro. Some of the images are over 1 GB in size, and even with a Surface Studio Pro 2 computer and dedicated video processor with lots of memory took a long time to process.

Four-Years Ago (13-October-2015) — New Jersey

Backyard Autumn Nature in New Jersey.

Autumn 360 degree panorama view of my backyard four-years ago. Renovation was in process. The new French doors to the Great Room were installed, the siding was being replaced, and the deck had been removed. The big rocks were going to be the foundation for the new patio. Four hundred and fifty images were taken using an Astro programmable rotating head on my tripod. Ten of the images were used to create the composite panorama (20755 x 4634 pixels). The image was cropped just to show the exterior home renovation in progress. The full set of 450 images were taken and used to create a rotating time-lapse video.

Monday (09-September-2019) — New Jersey

Backyard Summertime Nature in New Jersey.

It had been overcast and cool much of the day. In the late afternoon we finally got some much needed rain. Not enough, but something. The clouds started clearing from the west and I noticed sunlight coming in my bedroom window. When I looked outside I saw a double rainbow. I ran outside with the first camera I found with a wide-angle lens. Three views — a 360 degree panorama, a little planet view, and an inverse little planet/tunnel view.

Daily Electric Energy Used (36.4 kWh) from Sense and Daily Solar Electric Energy Produced (35.5 kWh) from SolSystems and Locus Energy. Cloudy much of the day. Still cool enough that the windows can be left open and no need to run the Geothermal HVAC. Overall a net deficit of 0.9 kWh.
