Summertime Backyard Nature in New Jersey.
I was on the way to the grocery store and took the following images from my car. It appears that the young buck is either trying to be camouflaged or is just transporting weed seeds.

The newest of the National Park Commemorative Quarters, this one for Glacier National Park in Montana is out and in circulation. This is the first one I got as change at a grocery store. Two macro images — one using ambient and incandescent light, and the other converted to B&W.

Red Canyon Petroglyphs. HDR Examples (HDR Express, Photomatix Pro, NIK HDR Efex, Photoshop CS5 HDR). A year ago, I attended the Eastern Sierra Photography Workshop led by Michael Mariant. I knew I was going to be late traveling from work in South San Francisco. Michael gave me the GPS coordinates to meet at the Red Canyon Petroglyphs. The following is an image of the petroglypths processed with Capture One Pro, Topaz, Nik Color Efex Pro, and Photoshop CS5. This is followed by a series comparing different HDR programs (HDR , Photomatix Pro, Nik HDR Efex Pro, Photoshop CS5 HDR Pro)
Let me know which if any HDR images you like or don’t like.

When I got home tonight there was a Doe near the top of my driveway. I initially didn’t see the fawns, but then found two of them resting under some shrubs next to the house. This series of images are of the Doe, Fawns, and other deer in my backyard. No wonder why I can’t keep a kitchen garden other than the tomato plants on my deck. Even on the deck I have to worry since I have had deer jump up on to the deck in the past.
This is the doe that was on the other side of my car last evening when I was taking the pictures of the fawn. I actually took this image while still sitting in the car with the Leica D-Lux 5 point & shoot after lowering the window. The quality is OK for recording the moment, but is not the same as the images of the fawn taken with Nikon D700 DSLR camera.
The tomato plants on my deck were looking much better after being watered last night and the light rain this evening. The big plants now have flowers, but have not set yet. The grape or cherry plants have many green tomatoes that have set. I didn’t get images today to show the progress of the plants because it was raining, but will try tomorrow.
