Sometimes you are lucky. A few days earlier Thom was teaching us how to photograph a rider on a moving horse. On this day, while waiting to be allowed to enter Torres del Paine National Park we were doing some landscape shots. All of a sudden two Guanacos started chasing and spitting at each other. I caught this one just as it ran right through our group.
I noticed a hairy spider while checking the hydroponic herb garden. I hope it goes after the tiny bugs nibbling on my basil leaves. I am not sure if the tiny bugs are nymph forms of the stink bug or something else. I also got a shot of the small pink flower on the cactus.
Snowy Sheathbill and Chinstrap Penguin Going Different Directions on Elephant Island. This was at the desolate beach on Point Wild where Ernest Shackleton’s crew survived for 4 months in 1916 while Shackleton managed to sail to South Georgia and ultimately assure their rescue.
