Tuesday (31-May-2016) — New Jersey

Backyard Springtime Nature in New Jersey.

Time-Lapse video of a Poppy flower opening. I had to get up early (~ 5 AM) to catch this. Nikon D800 camera and 105 mm f/2.8 macro lens (ISO Auto, 105 mm, f/8, 1/125 sec) taking images every 6 seconds for about 90 minutes. I see another flower will probably open tomorrow, so I plan to try it again.

Six-Years Ago (11-September-2009) — Alaska

Gone to See North America Road Trip. Day 21: Alaska Railroad – Anchorage to Spencer Glacier. (Day 7: Nikonians ANPAT 9).

The  group took Alaska Railroad train for a day trip to the Spencer Glacier in the Chugach National Forest.  The glacier is only accessible as a “whistle stop” on the train line.  A (sort of) time-lapse video of  images from the day including Albert’s size 13 boot.  A bit confusing and jerky because I was using two different cameras and lenses.

Six-Years Ago (10-September-2009) — Alaska

Gone to See North America Road Trip. Day 20: Alaska Railroad – Denali to Anchorage, Alaska. (Day 6: Nikonians ANPAT 9).

Time-Lapse Video (sort of) Documenting the Nikonians ANPAT 9 Group on a Train returning from Denali to Anchorage. All images taken with a Nikon D3 camera and 16 mm  fisheye lens. Two minutes in length.

One-Year Ago (04-August-2014) — Sweden

Gone to See Europe 2014. Day 65: Semester at Sea, Summer 2014 Semester Voyage. Stockholm, Sweden.

After spending an in-port “classroom day” in Stockholm, the MV Explorer departed at 17:30. I set up a couple of cameras to record images for a time-lapse video for our passage through the Stockholm archipelago.  The music Semester at Sea Alma Mater “Off to Sea — The World”  is by the voyage resident musician John M. Rosenberg.

Gone to See Europe 2014. Day 61: Semester at Sea, Summer 2014 Semester Voyage. Stockholm, Sweden.

Time-lapsed video of the early morning misty and rainy passage through the archipelago from the Baltic Sea to Stockholm from the deck of the Semester at Sea MV Explorer. How many times do you see me walk in front of the camera?
