Gone to See America 2006 Driving Tour. Day 18: Arches National Park, Utah

I passed through Moab and Arches National Park as part of my Gone To See America 2006 driving tour. Little did I know that I would be visiting Arches National Park on the same day of the year two years later. Keeping the people in the image gives an idea of scale.
On this trip the images were taken with a Nikon D200, and only saved in jpg format.

Late Summertime Nature at the Sourland Mountain Preserve.

Battle weary alien warrior. What can I say… Looks like he needed cataract surgery. Image taken with a Nikon D200 camera and 200 mm f/4 macro lens (ISO 400, 200 mm, f/11, 1/500 sec).

The Raven – Edgar Allan Poe

“Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—
Only this and nothing more.”

Backyard Summertime Nature in New Jersey.

My friend Harvey. Notice the mile-a-minute vine, but unfortunately the rabbit doesn’t eat it.
