Morning Mammals in the yard and garden. Although it rained yesterday and last night, the sky was clear when the sun came up this morning. I took these images from within my living room, while the glass on the windows is still clean.
It’s rained a lot recently, and the mushrooms are popping up. These four look like pancakes that fell on the ground. Image taken with a Fuji X-T1 camera and 60 mm f/2.4 macro lens. (ISO 200, 60 mm, f/16, 1/30 sec).
Backyard rhododendron flowers (above where the deer could nibble during the winter). Image taken with a Nikon 1 V1 and 30-100 mm VR lens (ISO 400, 41.2 mm, f/4, 1/60 sec). Raw image processed with Phase One – Capture One Pro 6 (vivid, levels, vignetting).
Look what the stork left on my doorstep. A baby male deer (fawn) trying to hide behind a leaf. Image taken with a Nikon D300 camera and 18-200 mm VR lens (ISO 800, 50 mm, f/4.8, 1/60 sec). Someone said “The Best Camera is the One With You”. The fawn’s mother came by later in the afternoon to pick him up, so I was just babysitting service for the day.
