Indoor Wintertime Nature in New Jersey.

The herb plants (basil, thyme, parsley, dill, mint) in the hydroponic garden are all bigger. I added about 2 liters of water and 8 mL of the nutrient solution to each garden after returning from Florida. I noticed some small black dots on the bottom of the basil leaves. Looking closer through a macro lens, the dots are tiny bugs. One type looks like nymph versions of Stink Bugs and another type looks like Aphids.

Indoor Nature in New Jersey.

Most of the herbs I planted in a hydroponic garden have sprouted. This is day 10 since I set the system up. It will be interesting to see how big the herbs get. I am going to need a larger system for growing indoor lettuce this winter. A couple of the cactus plants have started to bloom after I moved them indoors for  the winter. The cactus flower images were taken with a Fuji X-T2 camera and 80 mm f/2.8 macro lens.
