Morning visitors to the backyard and patio birdfeeder: Turkey Vulture, Black-capped Chickadee, American Robin, Brown-headed Cowbird, Northern Cardinal.

Weekly Electric Energy Used (347 kWh) from Sense. Weekly Solar Electric Energy Produced (400 kWh) from Sense and SolSystems. A surplus of 53 kWh.

Daily Electric Energy Used (83.8 kWh) from Sense. Daily Solar Electric Energy Produced (74.9 kWh) from Sense and SolSystems. Sunny. Geothermal HVAC system was on again (including resistance heating) as the house got too cold inside. A deficit of 8.9 kWh.

Friday (02-April-2021) — New Jersey

Springtime Backyard Nature in New Jersey.

Morning visitors to the backyard and patio birdfeeder: American Crow, Tufted Titmouse, American Robin, House Finch, American Goldfinch, Chipping Sparrow, Dark-eyed Junco, Song Sparrow, Brown-headed Cowbird, Northern Cardinal. The Brown-headed Cowbirds are voracious eaters, emptying the mixed birdfeed feeder every day. The American Robins have reappeared this spring (but don’t eat at the birdfeeder. The American Goldfinch and Chipping Sparrows have also reappeared this spring.

The Turkey Vulture was up on the patio, just under the birdfeeder. At one point it tried to eat a rotten apple.
