Another case of “the best camera is the one with you”. I’d never seen contrails lined up like this before with the added bonus of happening just after sunset. View from the Old Northeast section of St. Petersburg, Florida.

Back when I still worked at the Merck facility in West Point Pennsylvania I crossed this bridge every morning very early trying to avoid traffic on Route 206. Image taken with a Nikon D3x and 14-24 mm f/2.8 lens (ISO 100, 14 mm, f/16). HDR composite from 5 images using Nik HDR Efex Pro.

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge: Black Point Wildlife Drive. It was starting to rain, so I only got one loop on the wildlife drive. Some birds, but not as many as I have seen on previous visits. One new bird that I haven’t seen before. After looking through some books, I think it is an immature Common Gallinule.
