December Road Trip to Florida in 2011: Fort De Soto Park

Sunshine Skyway Bridge at sunrise from Fort De Soto Park. Later in the morning I watched a nesting pair of Osprey.

Gone to See Antarctica 2014/5 Day 6: Hurtigruten MS Fram visiting the Falkland Islands

The first place we stopped in the Falklands was Carcass Island. I was surprised to see palm trees this far south. It almost looks like the MS Fram was anchored off a Caribbean tropical island.

December Road Trip to Florida in 2011: Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge

I stopped for a couple of days in Merritt Island, and spent the time at the National Wildlife Refuge. A target rich environment. These are a few images from that day — Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, Wood Stork, Alligator, and Sunset. I especially liked the Great Blue Heron doing the “Chicken Dance”.

Morning in Boulder: Colorful Clouds and Panorama

I got permission to get onto the roof of the Sirna facility in Boulder to take pictures. I had been planning to do a panorama for some time, and saw some colorful clouds developing. I got up to the roof in time and got the picture. I also noticed an interesting sign (someone working there apparently thought they were “God”). By the time that I got the images for the Boulder Flatirons panorama the colors were gone, and the light had gone flat.

Late-Autumn Night Sky in New Jersey: Jets Through the Star-trail Vortex

These are not fireworks. The challenge here is for someone to explain how I created this star-trail image… The Fuji X-T1 camera and 18 mm f/2 lens was mounted on a tripod just outside my backdoor.
