Two or three Brown Boobies spent the day following the MV World Odyssey soaring and fishing. In the evening, at least two of the birds landed on the ship to spend the night.
I made a final drive through Black Point Wildlife Drive before heading north. A lot of birds were out in the early morning. Birds observed with images include Tricolored Heron, Great Egret, Little Blue Heron, Lesser Scaup, American Avocet, Blue-winged Teal, Lesser Yellowlegs, Killdeer, and Sandpiper (unknown species). Just showing one image for each bird species. More can be seen in the slideshow at the end of the post.
You can access any of the images from the slideshow in my PhotoShelter Gallery.
I arrived at Playalinda beach before sunrise. I noticed a Tern flying above a couple of guys surf fishing.
Late afternoon drive on Biolab Road in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. I only went back to check if the Osprey was still dining on the fish it caught earlier in the afternoon.
