Five-Years Ago (05-March-2012) — New Jersey

Backyard Night Sky over New Jersey.

Waxing Gibbous Moon. Image taken with a Nikon 1 V1 camera, FT1 adapter, and 600 mm f/4 VR lens (ISO 100, 600 mm, f/8, 1/100 sec). With this sensor, the field of view (FOV) is equivalent to a 1620 mm lens on a 35 mm DSLR.

Seven-Years Ago (01-March-2010) — From the Air

Aerial Photography. Transcontinental Flight from San Francisco, California to Newark, New Jersey.

Views from the window of a commercial flight while crossing  the continental United States. The images were taken with a Nikon D3x camera and 50 mm f/1.4 lens. The images have been reprocessed using Capture One Pro, and Photoshop CC, including the use of the dehaze filter in Adobe Capture Raw for the daylight images.

Nearly Five Hours Later and the Great Egret is Still Having Problems Swallowing the Fish. Biolab Road, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge in Florida. Image taken with a Nikon D4 camera and 600 mm f/4 VR lens (ISO 280, 600 mm, f/4, 1/1250 sec). It finally got it part way down its neck, but then didn’t look like it could fly.
