Backyard Autumn Dawn Panorama.

This morning the colorful clouds lit up earlier than yesterday. The display only lasts a few minutes, and is then gone. I did three different panorama images while moving around in the backyard to get slightly different compositions. You can see the colors and intensity changing in the three images all taken within four minutes.

Backyard Autumn Panorama at Sunrise.

Orange clouds and silhouettes of trees without leaves just before the sunrise. I looked out 20 minutes earlier, and didn’t see any clouds so didn’t expect a colorful display this morning. Then while washing some dishes, I looked out my kitchen window and saw the colors developing. Composite of eight images taken with a Nikon Df camera and 28 mm f/1.8 lens.

Three-Years Ago (28-November-2014) — Florida

Gone to See Florida Fall 2014 Road Trip. Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.

Great Blue Heron appearing to walk on water as it comes in for a landing along Blackpoint Wildlife Drive. I’ve also included a slide show with some of the other wildlife present that day: Alligator, Anhinga, Black Vulture, Double-breasted Cormorant, Great Egret, Hawk, Orange Butterfly, Osprey, Ring-billed Gull, Roseate Spoonbill, Tricolored Heron, Turkey Vulture, and White Ibis. Note that some of the images are graphic.

Backyard Autumn Nature in New Jersey: Talking Doe.

I was testing the sharpness of the Nikon 600 mm f/4 lens coupled with a TC-E III 20 teleconverter (effective 1200 mm, f/8 aperture).

Three-Years Ago (25-November-2014) — Florida

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge: Black Point Wildlife Drive.

My only view of an alligator on that day was just as I was leaving. All that was visible was an eye and the tip of its snout. It was starting to rain, so I only got one loop on the wildlife drive. Some birds, but not as many as I have seen on previous visits to the National Wildlife Refuge.
