First Quarter Moon (48%). Image taken with a Nikon D3x and Questar 7″ Telescope (ISO 100, ~1600 mm, f/16, 1/50 sec).
Waxing crescent moon (29%). Image taken with a Nikon D3s camera and 400 mm f/2.8 lens plus with a TC-E II 2x teleconverter (ISO 200, 800 mm, f/8, 1/100 sec). I really love how sharp this lens can be.
Backyard night sky with moon-lit clouds moving in. Orion is partially hiding. Images taken with a Nikon D2xs camera and 17-35 mm f/2.8 lens (ISO 100, 17 mm, f/2.8, 6 sec).
Moon and Sun images taken on the same day. If the weather cooperates this year on November 14th I will try to get some images of the large full moon (closer and even bigger than last month).
