Springtime Nature in New Jersey.

Birds of the day viewed in the backyard: Mourning Dove, Downy Woodpecker, Blue Jay, American Crow, Black-capped Chickadee, American Robin, House Finch, Chipping Sparrow, Dark-eyed Junco, White-throated Sparrow, Red-winged Blackbird, Brown-headed Cowbird, Northern Cardinal, Rose-breasted Grosbeak. First Rose-breasted Grosbeak for the season. The Dark-eyed Junco is listed as “rare” for this location at this time. It appears that one of the wings is injured and didn’t leave with the other Junco’s. It is able to find food, shelter, and water on my patio.

My interests include the natural world, wildlife, landscapes, sky, and seascapes, travel, and astrophotography. I look for unique ways of viewing the world and presenting my images. I have traveled to over 55 countries in six continents, often on Semester at Sea voyages. While at home in New Jersey, I spend time on home renovation and expansion of a wildflower garden/meadow.
