Wintertime Backyard Nature in New Jersey.

Heavy snow most of the day. The highlight was a Red-shouldered Hawk in a tree overlooking the birdfeeder. Later in the afternoon several Turkey Vultures soared by looking for a place to roost overnight.

Visitors to the birdfeeder: Mourning Dove, Downy Woodpecker, Black-capped Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, Carolina Wren, European Starling, House Finch, American Goldfinch, Dark-eyed Junco, White-throated Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Northern Cardinal.
