Backyard Springtime Nature in New Jersey.

Birds of the Day — Brown-headed Cowbird, House Finch, Northern Cardinal, Pileated Woodpecker, and Eastern Phoebe. I haven’t seen the Pileated Woodpecker in my yard for some time. I’ve heard it working on the neighbors trees looking for grubs. The Eastern Phoebes are back to just feeding the two young chicks in the nest.

  1. Hi David, a friend sent me a link to your website. He knows I like photographing birds and it seems you do as well. I live just off Blue Spring Road in Montgomery Township near the bottom end where Skillman, Princeton and Rocky Hill intersect. Once the pandemic allows us to meet in person I would be happy to join you when you are out and about with your camera.

My local and non-local exploits are on my blog at https://islandinthenet.com/
