The deer continue to stay near the house during hunting season. I didn’t even need to go outside to get the images of nibbles weeding my wildflower garden.

Daily Electric Energy Used (70.6 kWh) from Sense and Daily Solar Electric Energy Produced (16.9 kWh) from SolSystems and Locus Energy. Lots of clouds. Overall a net deficit of 41.1 kWh. Geothermal HVAC was on to heat the house (6.4 kWh).

Daily Electric Energy Used (47.1 kWh) from Sense and Daily Solar Electric Energy Produced (17.5 kWh) from SolSystems and Locus Energy. The power was off for 12 hours, and the temperatures dropped 30 degrees. Overall a net deficit of 29.6 kWh. Geothermal HVAC was on to heat the house.
Now that hunting season has started, the deer spend more time close to the house. They know that they can’t be shot within 400 feet of an occupied house.
Daily Electric Energy Used (56.9 kWh) from Sense and Daily Solar Electric Energy Produced (8.6 kWh) from SolSystems and Locus Energy. Mostly cloudy. Overall a net deficit of 48.3 kWh.

Biggest usage Hydroponics (22.4 kWh), servers and computers (18.9 kWh), kitchen (6.4 kWh). Overall a net deficit of 57.6 kWh. Some of the excess usage in the kitchen was the oven being used to re-season a cast iron stir-fry pan.
Even though I thought all of the butterflies were gone for the season, I came across an American Lady feeding on the Marigolds in my remaining Wildflower Meadow. Also a Hoverfly and a Spider.
