Lots of birds viewed from my backyard patio. Blue Jay, Dark-eyed Junco, Mourning Dove, Carolina Wren, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Northern Cardinal, Tufted Titmouse, House Finch, and Turkey Vulture.
After sunrise at Playalinda beach, I went went for a drive on Biolab road. A lot of birds were out in the early morning sun. Birds observed with images include Great Blue Heron, Roseate Spoonbill, Peregrine Falcon, Pied-beak Grebe, Ring-billed Gull, Great Egret, Northern Cardinal, American White Pelican, Snowy Egret, Tricolored Heron, Turkey Vulture, and Red Shouldered Hawk.
Afternoon drive on Black Point Wildlife Drive in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. Birds observed (with images) include: Northern Pintail, Pied-billed Grebe, Great Egret, Little Blue Heron, Tricolored Heron, White Ibis, and Turkey Vulture. Afternoon drive through Biolab road in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. Birds observed (with images) include: Gulls (unidentified), Caspian Tern (winter plumage?), Black Skimmer, Wood Stork, Double-crested Cormorant, Roseate Spoonbill, Black Vulture, Turkey Vulture, and Osprey. Afternoon walkabout. It was cold with fresh snow on the ground. I observed a Northern Cardinal near the deck, three American Robins in a tree, and a Turkey Vulture soaring.
