A new indoor house pet (pest?). I never knew that a cricket could be this big. It had been getting noisy down in my basement. I added the ruler for scale. The radon in the basement must be causing them to mutate ๐ .
Battle weary alien warrior. What can I say… Looks like he needed cataract surgery. Image taken with a Nikon D200 camera and 200 mm f/4 macro lens (ISO 400, 200 mm, f/11, 1/500 sec).
This was the biggest spider I had ever seen in New Jersey. It was above my front door. I decided to go in the house via the back door to get a camera. Not as big as a tarantula, but close. Image taken with a Nikon D3 camera and 200 mm f/4 macro lens (ISO 220, 200 mm, f/16, 1/60 sec) and SB-900 flash.
