Backyard Autumn Nature in New Jersey: Fall Leaves.
Lots of leaves every fall, and a broken statue lying on the ground.

David's Images of the Day Photoblog
Looking east from my backyard at dawn.

Lucky Seven. Waxing crescent moon (43%) composite. Images taken at 1 minute intervals with a Nikon D800 camera and 600 mm f/4 lens and TCE 20 III teleconverter (ISO 800, 1200 mm, f/11, 1/1000 sec).

View looking south. Composite of images taken between 17:30 and 23:58 with a Nikon D810a camera and 14-24 mm f/2.8 lens (ISO 200, 14 mm, f/5.6, 120 sec). I like that the Nikon D810a camera can take images for longer than 30 sec (up to 900 sec) just using the controls on the camera (external trigger/controller not needed). This results in smoother composite star trail images with fewer gaps.

View of the night sky looking south. Composite of images taken with a Nikon D810a camera and 14-24 mm f/2.8 lens (ISO 200, 14 mm, f/4, 120 sec). Images processed with Capture One Pro, and Photoshop CC (scripts/statistics/maximum).
