Backyard Late Winter Nature in New Jersey.
Images from a walkabout in my backyard after a morning rain shower. The deer look like it has been a long winter. These are the birds that spent the winter.

I have two sycamore trees that frame my backyard. Theses are a few shots of the sycamore seed balls (pods). One by itself, one that a squirrel is checking out, and the final one of a black crow watching me from the tree. Unfortunately, the limbs on these trees are pretty brittle, and every winter more branches come down. I will see how much they block the solar panels on the south side of the house later this spring as the leaves emerge.
More images of late winter flowers, telling me it will be spring soon. From across the street along a south-facing rock wall.
With all of the recent rain and warming temperatures melting the snow, the Delaware river had been flooding. I drove to Lambertville to get some pictures as the water was receding. Lots of trash washed up and was left behind in the Lambertville Inn parking lot next to the Lambertville – New Hope bridge. After getting home there were many more snow-drop and purple-crocus blooms to photograph.
Some more late winter flowers from my daily walkabout. There is hope for spring. Images taken with a Nikon 1 V1 camera and 30-110 mm VR lens. I got to really like this lightweight camera. A lot of folks consider the Nikon 1 mirrorless cameras as toys that a professional would never use.
