I am a scientist by training (Eckerd College, BSc; Caltech, Ph.D.). I worked for 27 years as a Chemist in the Pharmaceutical Industry developing processes to manufacture medicines for human and animal health. I now spend my time as a photographer and world traveler.   1. +Heiko Köster  Yes, he really did ride his bike up, around the light and back down. I was taking pictures of this unique lighthouse last Thursday thinking about my contribution for this week — and was very surprised when it happened. He did get a bit stuck when turning to go down but ultimately made it.
