The shutter on my Nikon Df camera failed on the 2nd day of the voyage, so I wasn't able to use the 80-400 mm lens. This was the best I could do with the Leica T and 18-56 mm lens, at 56 mm. The wingspan on these birds is really amazing and I was happy to get this image.

Nice! Sorry to hear about the camera — that would be so frustrating. And interesting to know that the Hurtigruten aren't just coastal Norway ferries!
