Gone to See America August 2010 Road Trip. Day 10: Great Basin National Park, Nevada to Park City, Utah.
After a long day driving, I arrived in Park City. It was off season, and the Marriott Hotel I was staying at upgraded me to a room with two balconies and more square feet than my house. I was able to set up a camera on each balcony to do night sky star trails. One camera looking north and up to Polaris, the other looking east.
Star Trails looking north and up. Composite of 154 images taken with a Nikon D3s camera and 45 mm f/2.8 PC-E lens (ISO 400, 45 mm, f/4, 30 sec). Raw images processed with Capture One Pro and the composite made using the Photoshop CC statistics (maximum) module. (David J Mathre)Star Trails from a Hotel in Park City, Utah.
