Six-Years Ago (12-March-2011) — New Jersey

With all of the rain and snow-melting the Delaware river had been flooding. I drove to Lambertville to get some pictures as the water was receding. Lots of trash had washed up and was left behind in the parking lot next to the Lambertville Inn and the Lambertville – New Hope bridge. After getting home there were many more snow-drop and purple-crocus blooms to photograph.

The purple crocus flowers kept opening and getting bigger. These images were taken with a point & shoot Leica D-Lux 5 camera.

The purple crocuses are always an early sign that spring is coming. The ones across the street from the house have a south facing wall so are always the first ones to appear.

Spring is Comming!!!

When I got home today, I noticed that these Purple Crocuses were in bloom across the street. I think that this is the earliest that I have seen these blooming. In addition, some of the Daffodils are also starting to bloom.

For those wondering why I have not posted recently, things have been busy at work. I have posted some Daily Photography Theme images on Google+
