I worked for 27 years as a Chemist in the Pharmaceutical Industry developing processes to manufacture medicines for human and animal health. I now spend my time as a photographer and world traveler.   1. I am beginning to think that this may be an immature Green Heron. The black crown, and when it raises it to form a crest when I am too close made me think my initial ID was wrong.
