David Mathre Photography

Welcome to my Images of the Day Photo blog. My goal is to post images from each day of the year going back to 2006 when I got my first DSLR camera. My photographic interest include Travel, the Natural World, Landscapes, and Photographic Techniques. I try to include information for each image as to where, when, why and how the image was processed. Most of the images are available for purchase -- either as prints or rights managed (Clicking on an image brings you to the ShepArt Studio Team Site). Comments about the images or this site are always welcome. DJM

Wonderful tonality and range of light.

+John Roach The only problem is the rain drop on the left side. I haven't figured out how to edit it out cleanly. It was very windy coming directly at me and the rain was starting when I took the picture. I kept cleaning/drying the lens and this was the best image I got.

+David Mathre , My eye was so drawn to the dramatic sky and the light cross the mountains in the distance that I hardly noticed the rain drop light flare.  Nonetheless, see what you think of of something that I will send as a private message to you as an effort I used with Lightroom Cloning tool that might give you something close to what you want.  It took a few attempt to get the feathering just right.

+Raaa Karm Maybe I should add some red color to make it warmer.
